Volleyball Recap: Chrisman Takes a Loss

Chrisman saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barstow Knights. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chrisman was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Rubi Mathis and Lillian Munoz, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Jazelle David and her eight assists. Finally, Munoz was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Chrisman now has a losing record of 7-8-1. As for Barstow, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Chrisman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Raytown on the 20th. As for Barstow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Lawson on the 20th.
