Volleyball Recap: Bedford Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Rylee Lybarger and Taylor Magill

After flying high against Greater Johnstown on Tuesday, Bedford came back down to earth. The Bisons fell 3-1 to the Bishop Carroll Huskies on Thursday. The Bisons were not able to make up for their loss to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 20-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Taylor Magill and Rylee Lybarger certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Magill had 14 digs and two aces, while Lybarger had 15 assists and two aces. Lybarger has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Bedford dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bishop Carroll, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will face off against Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Carroll, they will challenge Tyrone at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
