After flying high against Lakeview Charter two weeks ago, Castaic came back down to earth. The Castaic Coyotes took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burroughs Bears. The Coyotes' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Burroughs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nico Meza led the charge by putting up 11 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Evan Baker, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points.

Castaic's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Burroughs, they moved to 5-11 with that win, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castaic will take on Hart at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burroughs, they will challenge Crescenta Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Burroughs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season.
