Hartland is 6-0-1 against Salem since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field at 4:00 p.m.

Howell hit Hartland with a five-run fifth inning last Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hartland saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Brennan, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another was Emme Kottong, who earned two RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Salem had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Plymouth a 13-0 shutout last Wednesday. The Rocks have beaten the Wildcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.
