Galt hasn't had much luck against Liberty Ranch recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will take on the Hawks at 3:30 p.m.
On Thursday, Galt didn't have quite enough to beat Union Mine and fell 4-3.
Evianna Barrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits.
At the plate, Galt saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Jimenez, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Roxy Garcia was another, going 2-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pride a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Hawks have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Laura Quinn's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carlie Perez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaci Springmeyer, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Galt now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Liberty Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Galt hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Liberty Ranch struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Galt might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Liberty Ranch in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
