Soccer Game Preview: Cooper vs. Big Spring

The Cooper Cougars will challenge the Big Spring Steers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cooper fell victim to Legacy and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leopards. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Leopards are ranked 144th).

Meanwhile, Big Spring came up short against Andrews on Thursday, falling 4-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Cooper and nudges their season record down to 9-8-1. As for Big Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14-2.
