Softball Recap: Haltom Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grand Prairie last Friday, Haltom came back down to earth. The Buffalos came up short against the Martin Warriors on Tuesday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Buffalos in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Analyssa Luna was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Martinez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Martin, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Haltom will take on Bowie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martin, they will head out to face off against Mansfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
