Basketball Recap: Haleigh Davis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Thomasville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest Guilford, High Point Central was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Thomasville Bulldogs 45-24. The Bison pushed the score to 42-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

High Point Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haleigh Davis, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Davis a new career-high. Zaniyah Roland was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Thomasville's loss came despite strong showings from Ariadna Villamor and Brooklyn Brown. Villamor put up six points and five steals, while Brown had four points along with six boards and three steals.

High Point Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Thomasville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
