Point Loma posted their closest victory since November 20, 2023 on Friday. They had just enough and edged the La Jolla Vikings out 49-47. Winning may never get old, but the Pointers sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

It was another big night for Na'Sean Hardy, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Grant Stewart, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

La Jolla's loss came despite strong showings from Lance Braga and Carson Diehl. Braga dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards, while Diehl almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. The game was Braga's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Sessa, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points.

Point Loma pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for La Jolla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-4.

Point Loma will challenge Mira Mesa at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Point Loma is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65 points per game this season. As for La Jolla, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-49 defeat against Clairemont on the 18th.
