Softball Recap: Leavenworth Find Success

The matchup between Leavenworth and Sumner Academy on Thursday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. Leavenworth put the hurt on Sumner Academy with a sharp 22-5 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the PIONEERS' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Ramzey Craig was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Luci Pennington, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
