Basketball Game Preview: Warwick Wildcats vs. Goshen Central Gladiators

The Warwick Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Goshen Central Gladiators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Goshen Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Warwick, who comes in off a win.

Warwick took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 55-45 win over Minisink Valley. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Goshen Central ended up a good deal behind Valley Central on Tuesday and lost 50-35. The loss continues a trend for the Gladiators in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Goshen Central now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Warwick, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Warwick didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Goshen Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 51-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warwick since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
