Basketball Recap: Washington Gets the Win

Washington had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the South Pointe Stallions 58-55.

South Pointe lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Collin McKellar, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treven Raymon, who posted 16 points and seven rebounds.

South Pointe now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Washington and South Pointe will both be playing Second Baptist the next time they take the court. The Stallions will head out to face the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
