Lytle is 8-2 against Poteet since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Lytle is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, Poteet didn't have quite enough to beat John Paul II on Saturday and fell 6-4.

Lytle now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Poteet, they dropped their record down to 4-6-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
