Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East River). They blew past the Orangewood Christian Rams 11-0 on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Elijah Sealey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Sealey was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Kennedy, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Diorio, who scored three runs while going 1-for-2.
East River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orangewood Christian only posted an OBP of .160.
