Baseball Recap: Bartram Trail Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Bartram Trail was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 11-2 to the DeLand Bulldogs. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Landon Tippie was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Bartram Trail now has a losing record of 5-6. As for DeLand, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartram Trail will face off against Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tocoi Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Bartram Trail's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for DeLand, they will take on Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeLand will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
