Basketball Recap: Key West Conchs vs. Westminster Christian Warriors

Key West played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Westminster Christian Warriors and fell 65-38. While losing is never fun, the Conchs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the Warriors are ranked 57th).

Key West lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kameron Roberts, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Josue Thanus also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Key West and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Westminster Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Key West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-49 victory against IMG Academy Gray on the 18th. As for Westminster Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florida Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
