Softball Game Preview: Lake Orion Dragons vs. Kettering Captains

The Lake Orion Dragons will face off against the Kettering Captains at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lake Orion's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Oxford 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kettering couldn't beat Avondale on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. Neither the Captains nor the Yellowjackets could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw.

Lake Orion pushed their record up to 13-7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. With that tie, Kettering's record moves to 3-19-1.

Everything went Lake Orion's way against Kettering in their previous matchup back in April of 2018, as Lake Orion made off with a 19-7 victory. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Captains turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
