Softball Recap: Eden Raiders vs. Griffith Institute Griffins
Eden had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 0-4 to make it eight. They lost 10-4 to the Griffith Institute Griffins. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Griffins from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
As for Griffith Institute, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.
For Griffith Institute's part, Olivia Mesch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits. Mesch has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
