Basketball Recap: Monroe County Takes a Loss

Monroe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 55-15 loss at the hands of the T.R. Miller Tigers. While losing is never fun, Monroe County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while T.R. Miller is ranked 59th).

Monroe County's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for T.R. Miller, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Monroe County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-17 victory against Excel on the 25th. As for T.R. Miller, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-16 win against Hillcrest on the 25th.
