Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Melrose). Everything went their way against the Watertown Raiders on Tuesday as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The Red Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Melrose, bringing their record up to 11-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Watertown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Melrose will challenge Cambridge Rindge & Latin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Watertown, they will square off against Burlington at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
