Avon Park won the last time they faced Lakeland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Devils blew past the Dreadnaughts 10-1. Considering the Red Devils have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Skylar Hicks was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Kamya Brassell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for Avon Park and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Lakeland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Avon Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against Mulberry on the 4th. As for Lakeland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-4 loss against Frostproof on the 7th.
