Football Recap: Brady Takes a Loss

Brady was the 42-28 winner over Ingram Moore when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a 37-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Friday. While the Bulldogs had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Warriors 14-7.

When it comes to explaining why Brady lost, don't look at Ashton Taylor. Despite the final result, he rushed for 224 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. Alijah Stark was in the mix too, providing Brady with two scores.

Brady's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ingram Moore, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Brady and Dublin will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Ingram Moore, they have already played their next game, a 35-14 win against Randolph on the 3rd.
