Volleyball Game Preview: Chaparral Lobos vs. Lovington Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Chaparral Lobos will face off against the Lovington Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Chaparral came up short against Tularosa on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Chaparral was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Lovington lost 3-0 to Ruidoso on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-23.

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lovington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything went Chaparral's way against Lovington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Chaparral made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
