Softball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Trenton

Trenton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Williston Mighty Red Devils 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Addison Allaire spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trenton's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Presley Akins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Trenton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That's the most strikeouts they've posted since back in May of 2025.

Trenton's record is now 23-3. As for Williston, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

As of now, neither Trenton nor the Mighty Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
