Hillcrest's game on Wednesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Corona Panthers by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by just one goal.
Alejandro Rodriguez wasn't going to let Corona walk away unscathed as he scored both of Hillcrest's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.
This is the second loss in a row for Hillcrest and nudges their season record down to 3-4-3. As for Corona, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1-1.
Hillcrest is taking a road trip to take on Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hillcrest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. As for Corona, they will take on Bishop Montgomery in a tournament on Friday.
