Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 65-52 to the Lake Mary Prep Griffins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 59-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lake Mary Prep, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Calvary Christian Academy will welcome Burns Sci-Tech at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Mary Prep, they will challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Mary Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Trinity Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
