Volleyball Recap: Cheney Beats Kingman for Their Third Straight Victory

Cheney waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Kingman Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on September 13th.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cheney was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7.

Cheney found their leader in sophomore Lucy Fouquet, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Cheney was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Cheney's record is now 18-7. As for Kingman, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-18.

Coincidentally, Cheney and Kingman will both be playing Chaparral the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will host the Roadrunners on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
