Baseball Game Preview: Granada Matadors vs. Dublin Gaels

For the second straight game, Granada will face off against Dublin. The Matadors are taking a road trip to take on the Gaels at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Granada's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Dublin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Granada's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Dublin by a score of 4-0. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Gaels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Alex Piscotty tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Adrian Zambrano, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Granada hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dublin struck out ten times.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Dublin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-6.
