Coastal Christian hadn't done well against Bishop Diego recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Conquerors came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 9-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-2 back in March.

The victory made it two in a row for Coastal Christian and bumps their season record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Bishop Diego, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coastal Christian will take on Valley Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Conquerors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Diego, they will challenge Castaic at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals are facing the Coyotes at the right time seeing as the Coyotes are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
