Clear Lake and Clear Falls are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Falcons will face off against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clear Lake has given up an average of 49.7 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Clear Lake took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 62-41 margin over Clear Brook. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Calab Benjamin had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 94 yards and four TDs on only nine carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jibreel Bynum, who rushed for 166 yards on only 15 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Clear Lake was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 410 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Benjamin, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Clear Falls unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Dickinson and fell 51-17. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

Clear Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Clear Lake, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Clear Lake has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 155.3 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Clear Falls has preferred to attack from the air: they average 326.2 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Thursday? There's only one way to find out.
Everything came up roses for Clear Lake against Clear Falls in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
