Football Game Preview: Marcos de Niza Padres vs. Greenway Demons + How To Watch

Marcos de Niza's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Glendale to the tune of 40-0. The Padres might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Marcos de Niza's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaeden Lott, who threw for 273 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. What's more, Lott racked up 140.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Demetrius Davis helped Lott out on the ground, rushing for 59 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

Another reason for the win was Marcos de Niza's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. It was truly a group effort as Devin Rodriguez, Kayden Honeyman, and Nikolasi Tongauiha picked up two apiece. Thanks to that big game, Tongauiha is now up to 8.5 sacks on the season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Greenway sidestepped Moon Valley for a 13-10 win.

Marcos de Niza didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Greenway in their previous matchup back in October of 2020, but they still walked away with a 21-17 victory.
