Madison Plains posted their closest win since April 9th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Greenon Knights 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Madison Plains saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenzie Reeves, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Lyla Coil was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Madison Plains' victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Greenon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Madison Plains will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
