Basketball Game Preview: Okeechobee Brahmans vs. Sebring Blue Streaks

The Okeechobee Brahmans will square off against the Sebring Blue Streaks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Okeechobee managed to slip by LaBelle the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Brahmans lost 66-44 to the Cowboys/Cowgirls last Wednesday.

Despite their loss, Okeechobee saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Sally Osceola, who posted 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Madison Maitland, who put up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Sebring played a tough game last Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by IMG Academy White 60-13. The Blue Streaks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Zulangelis Graciani, Mia-Lisa Jeanty, and Jocelyn Dean posted three points each. Jazariah Greene held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Sebring's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Okeechobee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Things could have been worse for Okeechobee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 34-18 loss to Sebring in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Brahmans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
