Basketball Recap: Kapaun Mt. Carmel Starts Season with Win on the Road

Kapaun Mt. Carmel had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Southeast Golden Buffalo to the tune of 74-42 on Friday. The Crusaders are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 18 straight dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kapaun Mt. Carmel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Maingu, who posted ten points. Maingu is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 80% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Cole Rapp was another key player, putting up 11 points.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kapaun Mt. Carmel is set to square off against their familiar foe South at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southeast will challenge rival West on Tuesday.
