Basketball Recap: Edmond Santa Fe Takes a Loss

After flying high against Capitol Hill last Tuesday, Edmond Santa Fe came back down to earth. The Edmond Santa Fe Wolves took a 56-40 bruising from the Moore Lions on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-38 back in December of 2024.

Moore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaydence Pettit, who went 5-for-11 on her way to 13 points and five assists. Briana Blue was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Edmond Santa Fe has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Moore, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Edmond Santa Fe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 98-47 loss against Norman on the 11th. As for Moore, they have also already played their next contest, a 63-36 victory against Southmoore on the 8th.
