Basketball Game Preview: Varnado Wildcats vs. Holden Rockets

Having just played yesterday, the Varnado Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Holden Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holden took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Varnado, who comes in off a win.

Varnado is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Mt. Hermon 80-33. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Holden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-43 bruising from Pine.

Holden's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Varnado, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Varnado opened the new year with a less-than-successful 63-52 loss to Holden. Can Varnado avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
