Volleyball Recap: Acadiana Home School Athletics' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Acadiana Home School Athletics was the 2-1 winner over Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Commandos fell 2-0 to Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Commandos' undefeated start to the season.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Acadiana Home School Athletics saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emily Mader had seven digs and seven aces. Mader has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Julia West, who had five digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Acadiana Home School Athletics fell to 2-1. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Coincidentally, Acadiana Home School Athletics and Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will both be playing Bishop Noland Episcopal Day the next time they take the court. The Commandos will head out to face the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
