Volleyball Recap: Standley Lake Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Standley Lake can now relate to. They fell just short of the Battle Mountain Huskies by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Jojo Martin paced Standley Lake's offense, picking up 24 kills. Martin got some help from Alivia Lambrecht-Gardner and her 30 assists. Finally, Jenna Warwick kept Standley Lake's defense grounded, leading the team with ten blocks.

Battle Mountain was led to victory by Evie Steinberg and Riley Jennings. Steinberg had 23 digs and two aces, while Jennings had 11 digs and two aces. Steinberg is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Standley Lake's loss dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Battle Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Standley Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Battle Mountain, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Windsor on the 15th.
