Basketball Recap: Rampart Comes Up Short

Rampart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 49-27 to the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 56-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Rampart saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Arabelle Madril posted ten points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fountain-Fort Carson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amiyah Nash, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Deja Lynch was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Rampart's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.

Rampart has already played their next game (against Pine Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fountain-Fort Carson has already played their next match, a 77-28 defeat against Doherty on the 27th.
