Basketball Game Preview: Frankfort Hot Dogs vs. Danville Warriors

Frankfort hasn't had much luck against Danville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Frankfort Hot Dogs will be home for the holidays to greet the Danville Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Frankfort is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 50-12 loss at the hands of Tri-Central.

Kynlee Myers was Frankfort's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Danville came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Tigers 62-29. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 28 points or more this season.

Danville's win came from a few key players Frankfort will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maddy Wethington, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Addison Davis, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 10 points.

Danville pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Frankfort, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Frankfort took a serious blow against Danville when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 54-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Davis, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 steals.
