Softball Recap: Providence Catholic Provets vs. St. John XXIII Lions

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Providence Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the St. John XXIII Lions by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. Providence Catholic's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

For St. John XXIII's part, Alexa Ramirez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Ramirez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.
