Basketball Recap: Harmony Bostick Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Darlington

After losing to Darlington the last time they met, South Florence decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The South Florence Bruins managed a 57-51 victory over the Darlington Falcons on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

South Florence's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Harmony Bostick led the charge by putting up 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Bostick continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allyson Watson, who posted 11 points and six steals.

South Florence smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

South Florence pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Darlington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

South Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-29 victory against Socastee on the 1st. Darlington has also already played their next matchup (against Hartsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
