Volleyball Recap: Grain Valley Finds Home Court Redemption Against Belton

There's no place like home for Grain Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Belton Pirates on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grain Valley never let Belton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-22.

Jordan Jackson paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up 15 kills. Jackson really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 15. Tucker Hughes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Grain Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4-1 record this season. As for Belton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grain Valley will challenge Park Hill South at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Belton, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Central at 6:30 p.m. The Pirates are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
