Softball Recap: San Gabriel Comes Up Short

San Gabriel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Bell Gardens Lancers, falling 17-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in March.

San Gabriel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Bell Gardens, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

San Gabriel and Bell Gardens could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Matadors (ranked 1020th) will meet Mark Keppel (ranked 320th) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bell Gardens will challenge Schurr at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (665 vs. 154).
