Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Comes Up Short

Pinecrest Academy Cadence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 36-26 to the Sunrise Mountain Miners.

Aspen Larson was Pinecrest Academy Cadence's leading scorer, having posted 19 points. Sierra Larson held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

Sunrise Mountain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Giselle Serrano-Almeida, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delyla Ross, who put up eight points.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Sunrise Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-30 loss against GV Christian on the 4th. As for Sunrise Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 36-34 defeat against Doral Academy Red Rock on the 4th.
