Baseball Recap: Dieterich Comes Up Short

Dieterich lost against Teutopolis back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Movin Maroons lost 17-2 to the Wooden Shoes. The Movin Maroons just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Dieterich saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Icenogle, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Icenogle has launched this season.

Dieterich's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Teutopolis, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dieterich will head out to square off against Odin/Patoka/Sandoval at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Teutopolis, they will venture away from home to challenge Sacred Heart-Griffin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
