Softball Game Preview: Menominee Maroons vs. Gladstone Braves

Menominee hasn't had much luck against Gladstone recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Maroons will venture away from home to challenge the Braves at 1:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Menominee is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Monday. They lost 10-0 to Kingsford.

Meanwhile, Gladstone fell victim to Escanaba and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eskymos, falling 10-0. The Braves' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Gladstone saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Sundquist, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Menominee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Gladstone, their loss dropped their record down to 21-2.

Menominee couldn't quite get it done against Gladstone in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 5-2. Can the Maroons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
