Football Recap: Socastee Takes a Loss

Socastee lost against Stratford back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Braves took a blow against the Knights, falling 56-12. The Braves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-6.

It was another big night for Jachin Davis, who threw for 176 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes for Stratford. The dominant performance also gave Davis a new career-high in passer rating (160.4). Stratford also got help from Jqwan Crosby, who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.

Socastee's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Stratford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Socastee will head out to square off against Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' defense has only allowed 10.5 points per game this season, so the Braves' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Stratford, they will be playing at home against Colleton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
