Baseball Recap: Excelsior Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Excelsior Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 13-4 to the Roxboro Community Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Tuesday.

Excelsior Classical Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Goss, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Excelsior Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Roxboro Community, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Excelsior Classical Academy will venture away from home to take on Voyager Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Roxboro Community, they will square off against Oxford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. The Griffins will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
