Basketball Recap: Apple Valley Comes Up Short

Apple Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-20 loss at the hands of the Farmington Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Tigers are ranked 94th).

Apple Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Farmington, they moved to 9-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Apple Valley will head out on the road to take on Prior Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Prior Lake will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Apple Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Farmington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosemount at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Rosemount's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.
